We are not the company that sends you a bunch of complicated spreadsheets or reports to figure out. We manage your finances and explain it all to you in a way that actually makes sense.

What is bookkeeping & accounting?
People use "bookkeeping" and "accounting" interchangeably, but they're not the same thing.

Bookkeeping is the day~to~day: recording transactions, categorizing income & expenses, reconciling bank accounts. It's making sure every dollar is tracked, organized, and accounted for in your financial records.

Accounting is the analysis: interpreting those numbers, creating financial statements, managing accounts payable (what you owe) and accounts receivable (who owes you), handling sales tax, and using your data to make informed business decisions.

Bookkeeping records what happened. Accounting tells you what it means & what to do about it.

• 1099 and W-2 preparation (for independent contractor and employees you pay)

• Monthly review & strategy sessions (30 minutes+)

*Additional volume or complexity (S-Corp returns, multi-state sales tax, payroll, etc.) may require custom pricing. We'll discuss this during onboarding. No surprises.

What happens after you book?

Once you select your services and submit your payment:

1. You'll complete our onboarding questionnaire and submit your documents through our secure client portal. Your information is confidential and safe. This is when we get all up in your business. We'll tell you exactly what we need. Your only job is to get everything to us as soon as possible. We will work with what we have until your submission is complete. Don't worry about missing documentation. We will help you get what you need. Just let us know. 

2. You'll get a Zoom link to schedule your initial consultation call. We'll review your business, finances, answer questions, and confirm the scope of work. We'll walk through the Head-To-Toe framework to make sure you’re in the right tier and identify the best options for your business. It's okay if you don't have every single document ready by the call, as long as we have enough to understand your financial situation and proceed.

3.We'll agree to scope and pricing, then you will sign the service agreement. Very rarely do fees adjust. This only happens if what you tell us is materially different than what our analysis reveals (i.e. you sign up for the Chic tier that allows for up to 2 accounts, but you actually have 5). Any pricing adjustments require your prior approval. No surprises.

4. We'll set up your accounts & do our job. We connect your banks, payment processors, and business accounts to our professional accounting software through an encrypted service. We never get your login details. Ever. This usually takes 48-72 business hours. Every month, we categorize transactions, reconcile accounts, and deliver your financial statements. You'll always know where you stand.

5. We meet regularly. Quarterly or monthly (depending on your tier), we walk through your numbers together so you actually understand what's happening in your business and can make informed financial decisions.

Pricing Note:
Your payment is a nonrefundable retainer that reserves your spot and compensates us for the onboarding process, which includes a full financial analysis and setting up your business in our systems. Because we provide clear service guidelines and collect detailed information upfront, pricing rarely increases from the quoted amount.

Final pricing depends on the accuracy and completeness of the information you provide. If your transaction volume, number of account/platforms, or business complexity is not substantially different than what you've described, your price will not change. No hidden fees. If what you tell us is accurate, your quoted price is your final price.

Do I need to be based in California?
No. We work with clients nationwide. As long as you have a U.S.-based business, we can help you.

Do you offer catch~up or clean~up bookkeeping?
Yes. These services are priced separately and discussed during onboarding.

Can I switch tiers later?
Absolutely. As your business grows, your accounting needs will too. We make it easy to upgrade (or downgrade) as needed.

What if I have a specific platform or income stream you didn't mention?
Chances are, we've worked with it. During your consultation, we'll discuss all your income sources and platforms to ensure we can accommodate your needs.
